Family Pics

As I said before, we had our first pics as a family taken yesterday by my friend Meredith. She has her own photography company in Kansas City, Meredith Rae Photography, and I love her style. She seems to always catch us in the most natural ways. She took Ethan's newborn photos, which I promise I will get on here one of these days. Ethan 5 Months

Ethan's 5 months old today, and doing so many new things!!

He loves his exersaucer, and will still lay in his swing sometimes. He loves all the new fruits and veggies his is trying, and is rolling over like crazy. We definately have to watch him now days. He'll get on the floor, and army crawl all over the place The thing he loves most though, is Ava. He smiles so big when she's around, and is always trying to talk to her. He will laugh out loud is tries to get him, or plays peek-a-boo. I love seeing the two of them interacting, and learning to love each other. These are some of the most wonderful times of motherhood. Tomorrow we are having are first pics together as a family by my friend Meredith at work. She does an awesome job, and soon I'll have them online. I'm so excited!

Ava's 1st trip to the pumpkin patch

The other day we went to Faulkner's Pumpkin Patch so Ava could see how the pumpkins grew.

It was freezing this day, and I had the kids all bundled up. This is the only pic we got of Ethan were we could see his face through hat and blankets.

Ava loves bunnies, or as she calls them "hop, hops". She has about 5 stuffed ones.

She was being camera shy that day so this was one of the only smiling pics we could get of her, which is not like her. She's usually a ham.

If there's one thing about Ava it's that she has to have everything organzied and grouped in categories. I think she might be a little OCD sometimes, (hehe) and unfortunately all the pumpkins were lying on their sides. We could not leave until she stood up at least 40 pumpkins the right way!!

I think she thought the scarecrow was real, until she looked up at him. She was like, "Mom! Get me down!!"

The things they do while I'm at work

Yesterday, while I was working 12 hours, and we all know the Chiefs game wasn't worth watching (I really am a die hard fan), Dillon decided to blow all the leaves in the yard in a big pile to let the kids play in. Ahhh...the life of a stay at home dad...looks like hard work, huh?!

Ethan's Yummy Tummy

This is Ethan's first week of eating fruits and veggies!! Yes, I know, according to the Ped's he's not old enough yet, but he was REALLY wanting to eat real food. He would just sit at the table and thrust his tongue back and forth like, "Hey! where's mine at?!" I'm hungry too. Three days later, and the little porker can put back a whole container of sweet potatoes and half of a container of bananas, in ONE sitting. Ohh...how fast they grow up. I look back at pics of Ava sitting in her high chair at this same age, and I wonder, "Where did the last 3 years go?"
